Insomnia

Insomnia means that you have difficulty falling or staying asleep. Not only do you wind up feeling sluggish and tired throughout the day, but your body doesn’t get the dedicated time it needs to make repairs, produce hormones, and conduct other biological functions. This can wreak havoc on your health. If you have insomnia, it may be related to:

·       High stress

·       High caffeine intakes

·       Eating too much or too little in the evening

·       Chronic pain conditions, such as arthritis

·       Long-term health issues, including asthma

In some cases, you may have insomnia because of mental health issues, including depression, or because of your prescription medications.

How can acupuncture help with insomnia?

Acupuncture is one of the top treatment solutions for insomnia in China, and clinical trials show that acupuncture is more beneficial than Western medication.

Acupuncture needles will be placed into various points on your body to stimulate energy flow and enhance blood circulation. With ongoing acupuncture sessions, you should find that your sleep quality dramatically improves.

To further help you resolve any insomnia issues, I may prescribe a regimen of herbal medicine from the on-site medicinal herbal pharmacy. The team tailors your herbal medications to your unique needs.
